Socials / Tours

Fulham Running Club is a sociable, welcoming club and we always have lots of events going on for our crew of bandits.

Keep your eye on the FRC Facebook group for events for all the upcoming socials, which are set up all year round.

First Thursday

On the first Thursday of every month, we head to a pub after  the two or three bridges runs to rehydrate.

Locations tend to be within two miles of our meeting point – Nuffield Health  on Stevenage Road – and in the Fulham / Putney area.

Haunts include The Crabtree, The Boathouse and The Kings Arms. We also do a pizza party in Bishops Park in the summer, and head to Oktoberfest in October (funnily enough).

Christmas party

Every December, we celebrate a year of running, racing and cheering with our annual Christmas party. We swap our P.E. kit for our gladrags and book out a function room within our patch.

This sell-out event typically includes a drinks reception, three course meal, and an awards ceremony to mark the achievements of notable bandits throughout the year.

Details are released in the spring.

London Marathon after party

Taking part in a marathon is exhausting – for both our bandits running the 26.2 miles, and our incredible cheering squad, who set up shop in Bermondsey and Embankment to shout, whoop and scream support (and, of course, ring our trademark cowbells!)

Which is why we get together in the evening to toast the success of our London Marathon squad.

Immediately after the race, we head to a pub near Embankment to rehydrate and reflect on the day. And in the evening, we get together for dinner on our home turf. In the past, we’ve enjoyed burgers at GBK and pizza at Franca Manca.

Everyone welcome to this event.

Sports Day

A bit of competition never hurt anyone – which is why, once a year, we head over to Barn Elms Track for our annual sports day.

This typically takes place in the summer. There is a small fee to participate, and people bring along food and drink too.

With everything from team relays to solo sprints (and egg & spoon races), it’s a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon.

There’s a big wide world outside of Fulham. And whenever possible, we bandits like to explore it!

We’ve had runners head all over London, the U.K. and indeed, the world to proudly race in their stripes. From parkrun tourism to international marathons, three things are always guaranteed – running, eating and drinking.

Past events include Cross Country Champs, North Norfolk, Manchester Marathon, Brighton Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Paris Ekiden and Great North Run.
