Fulham's 10k squad!!!!
Take your first steps to running (and fun!)

We're excited to announce our 10K Squad for 2025, designed for various levels from those looking to complete their first 10K to anyone wanting to improve their 10K PB time. This programme is the perfect way to develop your running journey in a supportive and friendly environment.

So what is the 10K Squad?

It's a ten-week structured training plan that helps you comfortably reach the goal of running 10km and/or improving your time and pace to complete a 10km race. You'll have three/four runs per week depending on your base level, with rest days in between.

 

In addition, you will have three in person track sessions, a Strength and condition session at a gym, a 5k park run time trial, and support and motivation to help keep you on track to complete you target race.

We will have qualified Coaches in running fitness, Leaders in running fitness and level 3 personal trainer, who will be there to support you throughout your journey.

Who can join?

This programme is perfect for anyone who has completed a 5k and  wants to increase their distance, as well as those who are comfortable running 10k and are looking to improve their race time. We welcome everyone in the Fulham community, regardless of your current fitness level or running speed. The only requirement is that you can comfortably run 5km. Here is the breakdown of level :- 

  • Beginners - building up to completing 10k. (70+)

  • Middle - have done a 10k. (50-70 mins)

  • Advance. -  wants to improve on 10K time - (sub 50)

This programme is open to both our paid and non-paid members. You'll be meeting new people who share your goals and enjoying the journey together.​

What's the commitment?

We will be hosting three in person track sessions which will be an additional cost of £4 per session ( free for annual track members).

Three online meetings, one just before the programme starts, one half way, and one the week before the race to discuss race preparation. 

In addition, we will be offering a strength and condition session which will be additional cost of £15 (to cover hire fees).

Halfway through we will dong a parkrun 5k time trial to monitor your progress so far.

And finally there is the race itself, we are aiming for target race of the Fulham 10k on the 16th November, individual places will cost £36 but we are looking to get a group booking which will reduce cost to £27.

When and where?

The programme kicks off with an online meet on Sunday 7th September (time to be confirmed), followed by 

Three in-person session track session at Barns Elms on Saturday during the programmes all starting at 11:30am. Dates are :- 

Saturday 13th September

Saturday 27th September 

Saturday 25th October

Strength and Conditioning session @ revival gym 

Saturday 20th September.

​

Park Run Time Trial @ Battersea Park

Saturday 4th October 

​

Race Day 

Fulham 10k on Sunday 16th November.

How much does it cost?

The programme costs £10 (£5 for EA members) which includes:

  • Support and advice from experienced Fulham Running Club run leaders

  • The chance to connect with a local community of runners

  • And the immense satisfaction of achieving your 10K goal!

  • There are additional costs for the track sessions, Strength and condition session and the race itself!!!!
