Don't forget to Be a Bright Bandit out on the roads. Read the full update below!

Hi all, Rick here with an update from the ExCo and all things Fulham Running Club!

As we officially move into the darker months, it's time to break out the reflective gear and head torches. A quick reminder to "Be a Bright Bandit" at all of our evening sessions—get yourself some hi-vis or reflective kit and a head torch so we can stay visible, safe, and running strong as the nights draw in!

Before diving into the full updates below, here are a few immediate key deadlines to keep on your radar:

Photoshoot & Kit Update: Thank you to all our photoshoot volunteers (you can still sign up here if interested)! Both the shoot and our new kit line are being finalized behind the scenes—watch this space!

Below is your latest round-up of updates, winter training plans, and key dates for your diary.

Winter track & social plan (November 2026 – Mar 2027)

Based on member feedback from our recent survey, here is our confirmed Winter Track & Social Plan (starting the week commencing 08 November) to keep our momentum going right through to spring:

🏃 Track Plan:

  • Stevenage Rd: Continues weekly on Tuesdays.

  • Official FRC Barn Elms Track: Held once a month (3rd Tuesday), fully funded by FRC to keep track momentum going!

  • Self-Hosted Barn Elms Track: On all other Tuesdays, sessions will be "Self-Hosted" (similar to Paddington Track) so annual pass holders can still group up.

🍻 Monthly Socials:

  • Moved to the 1st Thursday of each month so they don’t clash back-to-back with official track nights!

📅 Key Dates at a Glance:

  • Nov: Social (05 Nov) | Official Track (19 Nov)

  • Dec: Xmas Party (03 Dec) | Official Track (15 Dec)

  • Jan: Social (07 Jan) | Official Track (19 Jan)

  • Feb: Social (04 Feb) | Official Track (16 Feb)

  • Mar: Social (04 Mar) | Official Track (16 Mar)

Please check and sign up to host on the Session Hosts Spreadsheet!

(Note: While some adjustments to our regular Barn Elms schedule may be disappointing to some, we need to think about the safety of members, and where we can practically find volunteers to host each week. We will take on feedback as we move through the winter months.)

Welfare update: Welcome Josh!

Please give a huge welcome to Joshua Hinh, our new Male Welfare Officer! Josh brings a wealth of experience in supporting others through his work as a Local Authority School Governor and charity ambassador:

"Being a Local Authority School Governor has given me the skills to listen, hear, and understand people—and most importantly, help them through issues."

A massive thank you to Tim Haughton for his outstanding dedication and service to FRC during his tenure as Male Welfare Officer!

ExCo recruitment: Teams Manager role open

After her great service to the club, Maddie Barrow will be stepping down as Teams Manager at the end of the year. A huge thank you to Maddie for all her amazing work for FRC! 👏

Interested in taking on this crucial role for the club?
