Fulham Running Club is proud to announce that we are taking the lead on the volunteer efforts for the inaugural Fulham Football Club Foundation Riverside Run presented by Buxton Water on Saturday 18 April.
As a club, we don't just run these streets—we support the community that lives in them. The Fulham FC Foundation (FFCF) has asked FRC to spearhead the team that makes this event possible, and we need our members to step up, don the high-vis, and show the community what FRC is all about.
About the Riverside Run
The Riverside Run is a brand-new community 10K designed to be inclusive, non-competitive, and full of matchday spirit. Taking place on the morning of Fulham’s away fixture against Brentford, runners will follow a scenic route along the Thames Path from Craven Cottage to a social finish at One Over the Ait (adjacent to the Gtech Community Stadium).
It’s about more than just a PB; it’s a celebration of wellbeing, bringing together Fulham fans and local runners to raise vital funds for the Foundation’s life-changing work.
How you can help: Join the FRC Volunteer Team
We are looking for a passionate group of FRC members to help us marshal the course, manage hydration stations, and cheer runners toward the finish. This is the ultimate way to give back to the South West London community while representing the club.
Why sign up as a volunteer? Beyond the "warm glow" of supporting a great cause, all FRC volunteers will receive:
An official event t-shirt.
Hydration and refreshments provided by Buxton Water.
A free ticket to a future Fulham FC home fixture at Craven Cottage!
Whether you’re tapering for a race or just want to support the Foundation, your energy on the course is what will make this a safe and welcoming experience for everyone.
About Fulham FC Foundation
The Fulham FC Foundation is the official charity of Fulham FC, dedicated to building a healthy, inclusive, and thriving community.
By using the power of sport, they reach over 10,000 people every year, providing life-changing support to disabled young people, refugees, socially isolated adults, and those facing mental health challenges. Every penny raised from the Riverside Run goes directly into these vital local programmes that improve physical health and mental wellbeing.
Why FRC x FFCF values align
At Fulham Running Club, our values are rooted in the idea that running is for everyone. We believe in the power of physical activity to improve mental health and foster social connections—which is exactly what the Foundation does every day.
Aligning with FFCF allows us to extend our reach beyond our own training sessions. We aren't just a running club; we are a part of the fabric of Fulham. Leading the volunteer team for this 10K is the perfect way to celebrate our shared love for our local area, our football club, and the sport of running.
