London Calling, but first... Fulham Palace parkrun takeover with FRC!

Fulham Running Club volunteers after the 2023 parkrun takeover

The 2024 London Marathon is just around the corner (six weeks to be exact!), and training is undoubtedly in full swing. But before our runners hit the big stage, Fulham Running Club is calling on all our fantastic "bandits" to lace up for a different kind of run!

Be a part of the magic: Volunteer at the Fulham Palace parkrun takeover

Mark your calendars! On Saturday 20 April, the day before the London Marathon, we'll be taking over our beloved Fulham Palace parkrun. It's a chance to celebrate our local running community and show our support for this fantastic event that so many of us call home.

Every Bandit counts: Volunteer roles available!

With the London Marathon drawing crowds, Fulham Palace parkrun is expecting a bigger turnout than usual. Here's where you, our amazing FRC crew, come in! We need as many volunteers as possible to fill all the essential roles that make parkrun happen:

  • Marshalling: Guide runners along the course and keep things safe.

  • Timing: Capture those finishing times with precision.

  • Funnel Marshalling: Direct runners through the finishing funnel.

  • And much more...

Rest up for the Big One, while giving back to the community

Whether you're taking a well-deserved rest day before the Marathon or simply want to support your fellow runners, volunteering at the parkrun takeover is a perfect opportunity. It's a chance to come together as a club, give back to the community, and experience the parkrun spirit from a different perspective.

How to join the takeover crew:
